* Dien Chau Districtidentified as the eye of storm No. 2, so the district is currently implementing many plans to concentrate resources for prevention. Since last night (July 15) until now, due to the impact of the storm, Dien Chau has had widespread rain. The district quickly informed and called on ships to return to safe shelters.
By 10:00 a.m. on July 16, 726/728 fishing boats of Dien Bich and Dien Ngoc had docked at Lach Van port and anchored at storm shelters, which were carefully tied together. Four offshore boats of Ngo Tri Dong and Nguyen Do Thai had also docked at Cua Hoi port.
According to the communication, the remaining 2 offshore boats of fisherman Le Sy Vinh in Dien Ngoc are also arriving at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. Along with that, nearly 800 rafts have also been brought ashore and carefully covered.
Fisherman Nguyen Ngoc Sam, Dien Ngoc said: Our pair of 600CV boats have arrived at the port since yesterday afternoon and have prepared all means to ensure that when the wind is strong, the boats are still safe and will not be damaged by collision. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Dien Ngoc Commune People's Committee shared: Dien Ngoc's Flood and Storm Prevention Steering Committee has been assigned to spread out to vulnerable hamlets and ports to guide fishermen against storms.
Dien Ngoc has 3 hamlets located in vulnerable areas prone to landslides: Ngoc Minh, Dong Loc, Yen Thinh with 100 households. When the storm reaches level 9, they will be evacuated to a safe place. Arrange 6 ships ready to respond to and search for victims at sea.
In the urgent situation of the storm, the Flood and Storm Prevention Command of Dien Chau district, communes, border guards, and militia have dispersed to the base, vulnerable areas such as dams and coastal areas to direct storm prevention work. Accordingly, they have propagated and helped people to reinforce their houses and anchor their boats. They have arranged forces to be on duty at 10 dams and 25 sluices through the sea dike to promptly operate flood discharge when the water level rises, preventing rice and crops from being flooded.
Mr. Le The Hieu - Head of Dien Chau Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said: 31 members of the district's flood and storm prevention steering committee have divided into inspection teams, urging flood and storm prevention in the whole district. We have made plans, arranged forces to be ready for all situations, ensuring the safety of people, property, and agricultural production when storm No. 2 makes landfall in the area.

*At Quynh LuucMore than 1,275 boats have safely come ashore to take shelter from the storm.After receiving information about storm No. 2, the Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Committee of Quynh Luu district called on all fishing boats at sea to quickly return to shelter to avoid the storm.
Tien Thuy Commune is a locality with a total of 360 large boats, including 162 offshore fishing boats. Immediately after receiving an official dispatch calling for boats to return to anchor, fishermen at sea were promptly notified to return to the port to avoid the storm. By noon on July 16, all boats had returned to the port to take shelter from the storm safely, including 36 boats anchored in Quang Binh province, the rest anchored at Lach Quen port.
Quynh Luu district is quickly deploying response work to storm No. 2. As of this morning, the whole district has 1,275 vessels and boats safely anchored, of which 77 are anchored in Quang Binh and 3 are anchored in Quang Nam.
After taking shelter from the storm, localities directed fishermen to secure their boats to avoid collisions during big waves and strong winds; at the same time, fishermen living near the sea were required to proactively prepare plans to evacuate people and secure their houses before the storm made landfall.
*In Hoang Mai town,As of 10:00 a.m. this morning, more than 416 vessels with a capacity of 90CV or more have safely anchored at Lach Con wharf, while 16 vessels owned by fisherman Quynh Phuong are on their way to Van Don Island (Quang Ninh) to take shelter from the storm.
* In Nghi LocThe district's Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command directed 30 communes and towns to urgently organize forces to be ready to deal with storm No. 2.
6 coastal and sea communes coordinated with the Border Guard to notify owners of vessels operating at sea of shelters, and strictly enforced the sea ban for vessels. By noon of the same day, 809 fishing boats of all kinds from the communes had safely returned to storm shelters.
In the key commune of Nghi Quang, in addition to calling on 159 boats to anchor at the Lach Lo storm shelter, the commune's Storm and Flood Prevention and Search and Rescue Command also proactively deployed a plan to evacuate 72 coastal households in Thanh Vinh 1 and Thanh Vinh 2 hamlets, and was ready to evacuate 30 households in landslide-prone areas in Trung Tien and Bac Son hamlets to safety.
