A group of 10th grade girls in Nghe An made an appointment to go to the fields to duel.

On the afternoon of November 3, Mr. Trinh Van Toan - Director of the Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education of Do Luong district confirmed that the video circulating on social networks recorded a fight between students studying at the center.

“The incident happened more than a month ago, but this video only recently appeared on social media, so we just got hold of it to verify and clarify. Because this fight also happened outside the center,” said Mr. Toan.

The incident occurred due to a conflict between two groups of female students from class 10D and class 10G. On the afternoon of Saturday, September 23, to resolve the conflict, these two groups made an appointment to meet on a new road near the rice fields in Hoi Tam hamlet (Thinh Son) to organize a fight. Among them, Hai Y.'s group (15 years old, class 10D) also invited many male friends from Duy Tan High School to go with them.

As for Nguyen Thi Le N.'s group (15 years old, class 10G), there were 2 classmates who went with them, Nguyen Thi Nh.; Tran Thi Th. In addition, there were some other students who knew about the fight so they went to watch.

Before arriving at the meeting place to fight, Nguyen Thi Nh. had prepared 2 bottles of beer at home and put them in the trunk of her car to take with her. When the 2 groups arrived at the meeting place, Nh. gave Hai Y. (10D) 1 bottle of beer so that each side could fight fairly, but Hai Y. refused. After that, Hai Y. demanded to fight each of them one-on-one.

The first round was between Hai Y. and Le N., as a result, Le N. could not beat her so she withdrew, Th. immediately (10G) replaced her, however, she was also overwhelmed by Hai Y. When she saw Th. being pinned down by Hai Y. and unable to get up, Nguyen Thi Nh. ran over and used a beer bottle to hit Hai Y. in the head, causing the beer bottle to break and the female student to be stunned on the spot. When she saw Hai Y. was stunned and collapsed on the street, Th. jumped up and slapped her in the face twice more. During the fight, a student used a phone to record the video.

After regaining consciousness, Hai Y. stood up and cursed the group of female students in class 10G, then called students from Duy Tan High School to drive her after the group to fight back. That afternoon, Hai Y. also called many of her acquaintances to go to the house of the other 3 female students to demand revenge. Of these, 2 female students were not at home, the remaining female student was home alone but did not dare to go to the gate to meet Hai Y. because there were many people.

Also according to the Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education of Do Luong district, in the following weeks, these female students continued to attend school at the center as usual and acted as if nothing had happened. However, exactly one month later, on October 23, the beaten female student left home for Hanoi and did not return to school, despite being called home many times by her mother and homeroom teacher. A few days later, the video recording the fight was posted on Facebook and was quickly shared and spread by many student accounts of the schools.

In the video, which is more than half a minute long, the fight was witnessed by many students, but most of them did not intervene but instead laughed and cheered. After verifying the incident, the center worked with the parents and asked the offending students to seriously review and commit to not re-offending. The students' homeroom teachers also organized a review, criticism, and clarified the incident in front of the class. Currently, no disciplinary action has been taken.
