(Baonghean.vn) - They sell cheap motorbikes in Nghe An to spend money, and transport expensive motorbikes to the South for consumption.

On December 6, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Thanh District Police said that the unit had just initiated a case, prosecuted 2 suspects for theft of property, prosecuted 4 suspects for receiving stolen property, and prosecuted 1 suspect for harboring stolen property.

The above group of subjects is part of Project 119S that was just eliminated by Yen Thanh District Police.

Previously, Yen Thanh District Police received many reports from the public about thieves taking advantage of loopholes to steal motorbikes, causing many people to panic and worry. Yen Thanh District Police established Project 119S to fight and clarify the matter.

After a period of verification, the task force found that Tran Nhu Y (born in 1988), residing in Van Trang hamlet, Long Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, had just appeared in the locality. Y appeared and disappeared with many unclear signs about time and money, often associating with bad subjects in the locality and neighboring areas.

After consolidating all the records and documents, on November 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Thanh District Police detained Tran Nhu Y in an emergency for theft of property.

During the fight against Ý, the investigation agency consolidated evidence and urgently arrested Tran Van Linh (born in 1991), residing in Bai Lim hamlet, Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, for theft of property.

According to the investigation agency's documents, Ý and Lĩnh have been friends since they were workers in the southern provinces. Lĩnh has two previous convictions for theft and one for gambling.

When they returned to Nghe An, Y and Linh committed a series of thefts of expensive motorbikes, causing many people to panic and worry. The time the subjects committed the crimes was mainly at night, and they chose expensive motorbikes to steal.

They sold the stolen property to pawnshops in Yen Thanh and Dien Chau for spending money. They collected expensive cars and then transported them to the southern provinces for sale.

Based on the statements of the subjects, the Investigation Police Agency detained 5 other subjects in an emergency, including Dang Quoc Viet (born in 1985), residing in Hamlet 1, Tang Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh; Nguyen Dinh Toan (born in 1991), residing in Hamlet 13, Dien Trung Commune, Dien Chau; Ho Sy Binh (born in 1989), residing in Hamlet 12A, Dien Trung Commune, Dien Chau; Truong Dang Tai (born in 1982), residing in Dong Xuan Hamlet, Dong Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh and Nguyen Canh Bao (born in 1991), residing in Trung Thinh Hamlet, Thinh Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh for the act of harboring and consuming property obtained by others through crime.

Fighting against the subjects, the investigation agency has clarified 20 motorbike theft cases in Yen Thanh and Dien Chau areas. Currently, the investigation agency has seized 15 motorbikes of various types; 1 set of lock breaking clamps and 8 mobile phones with a total value of more than 100 million VND.

Currently, the case is being continued to expand and collect evidence to return to the victims.
