Teachers love their students with all their heart
(Baonghean.vn) - Among the 24 teachers of Nghe An province who were awarded by the "Educational Talent Development Fund" this year, there are 2 teachers, Mr. Le Van Hau from Quynh Luu district and Mr. Nguyen Nhat Duc from Thanh Chuong district, who left many special impressions in the hearts of their colleagues and students.
Helping students overcome adversity
23 years of attachment to Quynh Luu 4 High School, the house of Mr. Le Van Hau (born in 1976) is a familiar address for many generations of students. Almost all of the students who come to him have experienced or are experiencing special circumstances, including many orphans and children with difficult family circumstances...

In hundreds and thousands of those meetings, the teacher still remembers his little student Nguyen Thi Giang (born in 2001). Giang had a difficult childhood when she had to leave her father to go to Nghe An with her mother and younger brother from the North. After that, her mother also had to leave her hometown to work, leaving Giang and her younger brother with her elderly grandmother in Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district. Because the house was near Quynh Luu 4 High School, her grandmother decided to let Giang study at this school and she was able to study under the head teacher Le Van Hau.
Although a teacher's salary is not abundant, understanding and sympathizing with the hardships of his young student, during his high school years, Mr. Hau supported Giang with textbooks, notebooks and extra tuition at school.
Along with that, he was also the person who accompanied Giang during the important stages of her education, to create a spiritual support, helping her to ease the sadness and loneliness in life. Thanks to that, Giang has always maintained the title of Excellent Student throughout her high school years. Now, she has confidently started a career and lives in Ho Chi Minh City.
In that situation, maintaining the overall excellent student achievement is really a very difficult goal to achieve. However, Giang did it. Seeing the children rise from adversity, I learned more from them. I learned the passion in the learning journey, learned the power of patience and the ability to overcome difficulties of the children themselves. Accompanying them is not only the responsibility of a teacher, but also an opportunity for me to improve myself. I wonder, could there be a more wonderful journey, when we learn from each other and grow together?
Mr. Le Van Hau - Teacher at Quynh Luu 4 High School
Not only is he a spiritual support for students, his solid professional work has also helped him inspire a love for learning, especially the subject of Chemistry that he teaches.

For example, Nguyen Ngoc Toi in Quynh Chau commune, Quynh Luu district, studied at Quynh Luu 4 High School from 2016 to 2019. At the junior high school level, his achievements in Chemistry were not outstanding. However, seeing his intelligence and agility, teacher Hau encouraged and followed each lesson to gradually kindle his love for Chemistry. Difficult exercises and exams became short-term goals for teachers and students to find solutions together.
Thanks to that, Toi broke through to win third prize in the Provincial Chemistry Competition for Excellent Students. His high Chemistry score also helped him become a student at the Military Technical Academy. And many students under the guidance of Mr. Hau have won high prizes in the Provincial Chemistry Competition and are now admitted to prestigious universities nationwide.
As for Mr. Le Van Hau, with his tireless efforts, by 2023, he had 8 consecutive years of excellent performance, receiving many awards such as: Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Accompanying students in difficult areas
“For me, each student is a unique personality, a story of their own life, so working with “special” students is always a challenge in the profession. However, it also contains a lot of happiness when witnessing their progress every day, even if it is just a little” - Mr. Nguyen Nhat Duc (born in 1981), working at Thanh Chuong 3 High School, shared.

Perhaps stemming from the teacher's wholehearted respect and love for his beloved students, the journey of being attached to the blackboard and white chalk for nearly 20 years contains many interesting stories.
One of them is the memory in 2019, when the art troupe of Thanh Chuong 3 High School won first prize in the "Provincial High School Singing Competition". Few people know that among the students who shone on stage that year, many were once problem students. However, under the encouragement and motivation from Mr. Duc, the students learned to listen, created for themselves a love of learning, and aroused enthusiasm when participating in school activities and movements.
As a school located in the mountainous area of Thanh Chuong district, in 2009, according to the resettlement project of Ban Ve Hydropower Plant, Thanh Chuong 3 High School's enrollment area had more students from Thanh Son commune. This is the commune where students from La village, Ve village (Thai ethnic group), Xop Pot - Kim Da village (Khoi Mu ethnic group) of Tuong Duong district transferred to study. In addition, among the 10 communes in the school's enrollment area, there are 3 communes located in the border area, including Hanh Lam, Thanh Duc, Thanh Son. Therefore, there are many students from poor and near-poor households.

The road to school for children in border communes is difficult and arduous, with many steep passes, sometimes up to 20 km. Their homes are far away, so some children have to stay in rented accommodation to study, while the majority have to stay at school at noon to continue studying in the afternoon. Understanding the hardships of the children, in his role as Secretary of the School Youth Union from 2014 to 2022 and Chairman of the School Union, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Duc has worked with the school to implement many support activities.
Not only is he a spiritual support, Mr. Duc also conducts a review and advises the school on difficult circumstances that need help. Since then, the school has become a bridge to mobilize benefactors, organizations, and units inside and outside the province to support many students in difficult circumstances.
In the past 5 years alone, it is estimated that the school has mobilized more than 500 million VND to support students in the form of housing support, tuition support, food money and gifts on important occasions of the school year. Thanks to that, the students here have had a solid foundation to rise up in life.

As for Mr. Nguyen Nhat Duc, for many years, he has been a bright spot in the teaching work of the Education sector, a typical example of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period of 2016 - 2021 of Thanh Chuong district; was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training for his outstanding achievements in the period of 2016 - 2021 and many Certificates of Merit and Merit Certificates at all levels.
Looking back on the journey, witnessing the school's overall achievements as well as the students' growth, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Duc believes that the core of those achievements comes from listening and understanding students with all his heart, so that each student can live in love and develop their own values to the fullest./.
