Not far away, Ms. Bui Thi Nguyet's family in village 7, Hoi Son commune, is also using lamps to prepare the land for rice planting. Ms. Nguyet said that this year her family is producing 3 sao of rice, mainly using NA2 rice variety. This is a high-quality, high-yielding rice variety that the family has tested in the previous summer-autumn crop to ensure it can avoid natural disasters and floods.
To plant rice on schedule to avoid natural disasters at the end of the season and to avoid storm No. 2, her family rented a tractor to plow the land and make ridges for planting. Although they had to stay up late and wake up early, to plant summer-autumn rice within the safe time frame and achieve a complete success in production, she and all family members tried to finish planting early.
