Although more than 3 sao of mustard greens have not yet reached harvest time, when hearing the weather forecast that in the coming days in Nghe An there will be heavy rain, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong's family in Quynh Lien commune (Hoang Mai town) focused on going to the fields to harvest.
Ms. Huong said that although the price of mustard greens has started to increase slightly from 2,000 VND to 3,000 VND/kg, because of fear of heavy rain causing flooding, they have to harvest early.

The entire Quynh Lien commune has about 370 hectares of specialized vegetables such as chayote, carrots, mustard greens, Chinese cabbage, green onions... At this time, there are about more than 100 hectares of vegetables, radishes, mustard greens, and green onions being urgently harvested by people.
In order to limit the damage caused by heavy rains, local authorities are actively encouraging people to clear the flow right in the fields; mobilizing human resources to harvest vegetable areas that have grown to 80-90%. For vegetables and tubers that are growing, the commune recommends that people stay in the fields to take care of them, cultivate the beds, and build sturdy trellises.
In addition to vegetables, people in the communes of Quynh Bang, Quynh Thanh, Quynh Yen... (Quynh Luu) are also urgently harvesting shrimp for the third crop. At the shrimp pond of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung in Quynh Yen commune, the family is hiring people to harvest shrimp. Mr. Hung said that in his family's pond there are currently more than 2 tons of shrimp of 100 pieces/kg. If they are not harvested and it rains heavily, it will affect the growth of the shrimp due to changes in the weather, causing harmful diseases.
