(Baonghean.vn) - While other localities have finished harvesting and many new rice crops have turned green, these days, people in the Vietnam - Laos border area of Tri Le commune, Que Phong district are busy working in the sun to harvest late.

The rice crop in Tri Le is usually harvested about a month later than in the lowland areas. In addition, this year, due to the 2017-2018 spring crop experiencing severe cold, the temperature here dropped below 15 degrees Celsius, so the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Que Phong district directed the planting to be 10 days later than in other localities. Therefore, this peak heat wave coincided with the rice harvest time of the people in the commune on the Vietnam-Laos border here. Photo: Hung Cuong
