What do new rural areas get?
(Baonghean.vn) - Over the past few days, many mountain villages have held joyful festivals because they were recognized as meeting new rural standards. The sounds of gongs, drums, and carvings have filled the entire area.
Welcoming the new countryside must be fun!
Here is just a small example: In the past, in the mountainous villages, every house had a barn for raising buffalo, cows, pigs, and chickens right under the stilt house. All the dirty waste and bad smell were emitted into the living space of the family. Diseases and illnesses also came from that. Commune, district, and provincial officials spent many years propagating and mobilizing people to separate their livestock from under the stilt house and build separate barns to both protect human health and take better care of livestock. Thinking back, people realized how "slowly progressive" they were in the past.

In the new rural area, people also encouraged each other to build septic tanks, and contributed to the construction of internal roads, cultural houses, and playgrounds for children. Roads and paths in the village became more beautiful and clean. Thanks to the new rural area, students are no longer afraid of going to school over bumpy monkey bridges; the transportation of agricultural products is also easier and more convenient.
In addition, to improve the quality of life of the people, with the support of agricultural officials, people have become familiar with commodity production activities. From bunches of vegetables, rice grains, goats, pigs, etc., they are all guided in techniques to have better and larger yields and also ensure environmental friendliness. Thanks to that, when sold, they have high prices, increasing income for each family.
The new rural areas also help people have better conditions to preserve traditional cultural and spiritual values. People have space to express their cultural and artistic talents, and have places to perform traditional folk songs and dances of their community and people. Spiritual life is also improved because of that.
But most importantly, the new rural area helps people in mountainous areas change their inherent habits, establish a new lifestyle that is suitable for development trends but also does not distort the traditional core cultural values of their ancestors.
