Water suddenly flooded the engine compartment of a fishing boat, 6 fishermen from Nghe An called for emergency rescue.
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing near Mui Rong area (Quynh Luu, Nghe An), the fishermen's boat was flooded with water in the engine compartment, the fishermen on board requested urgent rescue.
At 3:00 p.m. on November 17, 2019, the Nghe An Border Guard Command received information that fishing boat NA 95055TS with 6 crew members, captained by Mr. Hoang Dinh Thanh, permanent resident of Hamlet 6, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District, was operating seafood exploitation activities in the Mui Rong area when the fishing boat of fishermen from Quynh Luu District, about 42 nautical miles eastward, water flooded into the engine compartment. Although every effort was made, it could not be overcome, and the captain requested an emergency rescue.

Upon receiving the information, the Nghe An Border Guard Command mobilized forces and vehicles to launch a rescue operation. At the same time, it directed coastal border units to coordinate with local authorities, fishing teams, and vehicle owners to notify other vehicles operating at sea to come and assist the distressed vessel.
At 4:30 a.m. on November 18, the rescue ship approached the ship in distress and successfully carried out rescue work and pulled the ship ashore.
