The boss said the referee was trained at a blind school, VFF turned a blind eye?

(Baonghean.vn) - In the face of somewhat offensive statements about referees by the Quang Nam boss after the HAGL 1 - 0 Quang Nam FC match, should VFF remain silent?

Insider

Having grown up in the youth movement and worked as the Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training of Da Nang for many years before becoming the manager of the Quang Nam team, Mr. Hong is no stranger to things off the field. Every year, the Referee Board brings referees to Chi Lang Stadium for training, and Mr. Hong attends.

He was no stranger to nearly 50 referees, but when he was upset, he still made a shocking statement: "I think Vietnamese referees were trained by VPF at Nguyen Dinh Chieu blind school. The situation was not disputed, the viewing angle was good, but the referee did not raise the flag for offside."

Of course, the referees were shocked, very shocked. Deputy Head of the VFF Referee Board Duong Van Hien immediately responded: “The referees were shocked by Mr. Hong’s words. I was also startled when I heard it. In real life, Mr. Hong and I are very close, but honestly, what he said is unacceptable.

Mr. Hong is, after all, a member of the Executive Committee, Head of the VFF Grassroots Football Department, and we work as referees. We both work for the development of Vietnamese football, but I don't understand why he made such insulting statements and made such bad stereotypes about the entire referee community."

If not handled, it will set a bad precedent. Mr. Hong of Quang Nam can say it, but Mr. Thanh of SLNA can accept it, and what about the other teams? Is it true that every time there is a mistake, another mistake is added on top of it?

Um ba la

In fact, VPF and VFF are not on the sidelines. Immediately on April 3, VPF got hold of the audio recording of Mr. Le Nguyen Hong's criticism and VPF responded: "The leaders of Quang Nam Club criticized the referee team in an objective, offensive and stereotypical manner in particular, and the refereeing work in general ("Vietnamese referees were trained by VPF at Nguyen Dinh Chieu School for the Blind...").

This has caused negative impacts on the reputation and general image of the club's individual leaders and the entire tournament, and at the same time, this has violated the regulations of current professional football regulations."

But VPF could do nothing more than give strict “reminders”. It was simply impossible to discipline Mr. Le Nguyen Hong because this year this boss did not register any position at Quang Nam Club. That means Article 34 of the current Professional Football Regulations cannot sanction this cunning man. But if we leave it like that, will it be chaos?

Perhaps, only VFF can sanction this boss because Mr. Le Nguyen Hong is still holding the position of Head of the VFF's grassroots football department, member of the VFF Executive Committee term VII. It is true that Vietnamese football is easy to say but too difficult to roll up your sleeves to solve. Sometimes "going up the mountain, coming back down the river" is because of that!
