France: Mother and children stabbed for...wearing short shorts
AP quoted Jean-Marc Duprat, deputy mayor of Laragne-Monteglin town, Hautes-Alpes region, southern France, saying that the woman and her three daughters were attacked by a man on the morning of July 19 in a nearby resort.

The man, who is not related to the mother and children, was upset because they were wearing shorts and T-shirts. Police arrested him. TF1 reported that the attacker was Mohamed B, 37.
The eight-year-old girl suffered a punctured lung and was transferred to a hospital in the city of Grenoble, according to the Telegraph.
The 46-year-old mother and her two daughters, ages 12 and 14, were taken to Gap Regional Hospital, closer to the resort. Their injuries were serious but not life-threatening, hospital sources said.
Laragne-Monteglin is located about 180 km northwest of Nice. Nice was the scene of a terrorist attack on the evening of July 14 that killed 84 people.
