Nghe An Buddhism joins hands and hearts to build a rich and beautiful homeland

Implement the motto "Religion - Nation - Socialism"

On September 23, 2011, with the approval of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), monks, nuns and Buddhists of Nghe An province organized the first Provincial Buddhist Congress, establishing the Provincial Executive Committee. Since then, the Buddhist movement has developed comprehensively.

At the first Congress (2011), the whole province had 15 monks and nuns, 45,000 Buddhists, and 11 pagodas. At that time, the activities of Nghe An Buddhism only served the religious and spiritual needs of the Monastery. After 10 years of development, the whole province now has more than 100 monks and nuns, 65 pagodas, and 168,000 Buddhists gathered in 328 monasteries, communal houses, and conventions. The position of Nghe An Buddhism has reached the national and international level.

10 years of construction and developmentBuddhismNghe An is 10 years of joint efforts, unanimity and continuous efforts of all monks, nuns and Buddhists under the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the support in all aspects of government leaders at all levels. Thanks to that, Nghe An Buddhism has achieved important results.

The monks and Buddhists of Nghe An are in harmony and solidarity to build a strong Nghe An Provincial Buddhist Sangha in terms of organization, successfully implementing the assigned tasks. Complete and establish 03 Executive Committees and assign responsibilities to Buddhism at the district level. Well implement the State's legal policies, fulfill the duties of citizens, effectively implement the motto "Dharma - Nation - Socialism".

The Executive Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An has called for social resources to carry out many projects of restoration, renovation, and planning of new construction at pagodas and places of worship of Buddhist origin. Completed the construction of Dai Tue Pagoda, becoming a magnificent work at the sacred Dai Hue Mountain, the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho. Restored and restored the Gam Temple - Pagoda complex (Chi Linh Tu) with ancient architecture in the rice homeland of Yen Thanh.

Renovating and constructing Co Am pagoda, a majestic and spacious one, to meet the living and studying needs of Buddhists in Dien Chau, with a beautiful landscape. Planning to build new Lam Son pagoda, Linh Son pagoda, Ha pagoda with wood bearing the traditional cultural appearance, with the majestic main hall of Tam Bao, with the effort and dedication of the children of Nghe homeland.

Expansion and renovation planningNational MonumentCan Linh Pagoda, the ancient Su Nu Pagoda by the poetic and sacred Con Moc River, reflects in Cua Nam Lake. Direct and organize well the work of settling down and ending the summer retreat, educating monks and nuns, guiding Buddhists, promoting the work of propagating the Dharma and benefiting living beings. At the same time, coordinate with agencies to open specialized classes on religious beliefs and policies, report on current events at home and abroad, and foster and improve knowledge of national defense and security in the new situation.

Participate in Buddhist activities to benefit religion and life

The Executive Committee regularly coordinates with the People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Religious Committee, the Provincial National Defense and Security Education Council, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to open specialized classes, conferences to disseminate legal policies, deploy and launch movements to benefit the country and the people such as: Movementmonks and nuns, BuddhistsProtect national security; build cultural residential areas; build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; join hands to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic.

Coordinate with authorities at all levels to organize memorial services, light candles in gratitude, especially successfully organize 5 years of Nghe An Lotus Festival, 02 United Nations Vesak Festivals, New Year Writing Festival at Dai Tue Pagoda, Ke Gam Tuong Festival at Chi Linh Pagoda. Organize many memorial services and gratitude at Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery, Thai Lao Cemetery, Truong Bon National Monument Area...

The Board of Directors has encouraged monks, nuns, and Buddhists to promote the spirit of compassion and the tradition of mutual love of the nation. Participate in relief efforts for people affected by natural disasters, contribute to the Fund for the Poor, the Fund for Encouragement of Education, the Fund for Protection of Orphans and Disabled Children. Build more than 100the great unity houset, charity houses for families with special difficulties in and outside the province, support the construction of a number of solid kindergartens.

Monks and Buddhists actively participate in Buddhist activities that benefit religion and life. Many monks and nuns in Nghe An province have joined organizations such as: People's Council, Fatherland Front Committee, Association for Promotion of Education, Red Cross, Association for Victims of Agent Orange, Association for the Protection of Disabled and Orphans, etc., contributing to the consolidation of the government, front and organizations, creating social consensus, making great contributions to the construction andprotect the Fatherland

In recognition of the achievements of the Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An in the past 10 years, the Party, the State, all levels, sectors and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha have awarded many collectives and individuals with Medals, Commemorative Medals, Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit, and Certificates of Merit. These are invaluable gifts, timely encouragement for Nghe An Buddhism to develop even more strongly in the coming time.
