(Baonghean.vn) - 10 years of building and developing Nghe An Buddhism are 10 years of joint efforts, unanimity and continuous striving of all monks and nuns, achieving important results.

Implement the motto "Religion - Nation - Socialism"

On September 23, 2011, with the approval of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), monks, nuns and Buddhists of Nghe An province organized the first Provincial Buddhist Congress, establishing the Provincial Executive Committee. Since then, the Buddhist movement has developed comprehensively.

At the first Congress (2011), the whole province had 15 monks and nuns, 45,000 Buddhists, and 11 pagodas. At that time, the activities of Nghe An Buddhism only served the religious and spiritual needs of the Monastery. After 10 years of development, the whole province now has more than 100 monks and nuns, 65 pagodas, and 168,000 Buddhists gathered in 328 monasteries, communal houses, and conventions. The position of Nghe An Buddhism has reached the national and international level.

The monks and Buddhists of Nghe An are in harmony and solidarity to build a strong Nghe An Provincial Buddhist Sangha in terms of organization, successfully implementing the assigned tasks. Complete and establish 03 Executive Committees and assign responsibilities to Buddhism at the district level. Well implement the State's legal policies, fulfill the duties of citizens, effectively implement the motto "Dharma - Nation - Socialism".

Completed the construction of Dai Tue Pagoda, becoming a magnificent work at the sacred Dai Hue Mountain, the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho. Restored and restored the Gam Temple - Pagoda complex (Chi Linh Tu) with ancient architecture in the rice homeland of Yen Thanh.

Renovating and constructing Co Am pagoda, a majestic and spacious one, to meet the living and studying needs of Buddhists in Dien Chau, with a beautiful landscape. Planning to build new Lam Son pagoda, Linh Son pagoda, Ha pagoda with wood bearing the traditional cultural appearance, with the majestic main hall of Tam Bao, with the effort and dedication of the children of Nghe homeland.

Coordinate with authorities at all levels to organize memorial services, light candles in gratitude, especially successfully organize 5 years of Nghe An Lotus Festival, 02 United Nations Vesak Festivals, New Year Writing Festival at Dai Tue Pagoda, Ke Gam Tuong Festival at Chi Linh Pagoda. Organize many memorial services and gratitude at Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery, Thai Lao Cemetery, Truong Bon National Monument Area...

The Board of Directors has encouraged monks, nuns, and Buddhists to promote the spirit of compassion and the tradition of mutual love of the nation. Participate in relief efforts for people affected by natural disasters, contribute to the Fund for the Poor, the Fund for Encouragement of Education, the Fund for Protection of Orphans and Disabled Children. Build more than 100the great unity houset, charity houses for families with special difficulties in and outside the province, support the construction of a number of solid kindergartens.

Monks and Buddhists actively participate in Buddhist activities that benefit religion and life.
