Promoting solidarity between religions and non-religious people, taking care of socio-economic development

Also attending were comrade Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and representatives of the Office, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and the Department of Home Affairs.

On behalf of the Catholic community, Chairman of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee Nguyen Dang Dien sent New Year wishes of peace, happiness and success to the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; and thanked the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front at all levels for the support of work programs and patriotic emulation movements of the locality, especially in places where Catholics live.

Thanking the good wishes of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh sent wishes to priests, dignitaries and parishioners to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2018 happily and peacefully and informed about some outstanding achievements in 2017 of Nghe An.

Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized the consistent and continuous viewpoint of the Party and State of always respecting and ensuring the people's freedom of belief and religion, considering it one of the basic rights of citizens; at the same time promptly resolving the legitimate needs of religious compatriots.

The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee will continue to create a bridge between Catholics and the Party Committee, government and people in the province; thereby strongly consolidating the great national unity bloc, promoting the spirit of solidarity between Catholics and non-Catholics, launching emulation movements to develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, build cultural movements at the grassroots level so that people's lives will be increasingly improved, creating conditions to promote the province's socio-economic development.
