Promoting the role of party members in building new rural areas
(Baonghean.vn) - Hoi Son Commune Party Committee currently has nearly 235 Party members, operating in 14 Party cells, including 10 rural Party cells. Determining the goal of becoming a new rural commune in 2016, the Commune Party Committee issued Resolution No. 01 - NQ/DU dated January 11, 2016 on building new rural areas.
Focusing on building a strong political system, strengthening political and ideological education for cadres and Party members, contributing to raising awareness in completing the criteria for new rural construction.

The most prominent feature of the new rural development in Hoi Son is the movement to build rural roads. If in the past, when mentioning this locality, many people were fed up with the "dusty sunny, muddy rainy" roads, now dozens of roads in the commune have been renovated and upgraded. This result is the result of the consensus of the pioneering cadres, party members and the people working together to build.

Besides doing a good job of propaganda and mobilization, ensuring publicity, democracy, and creating consensus among the people, the pioneering, exemplary role of cadres and party members, and their words and actions, plays a very important role.
A typical example is party member Bui Duc Phuong who voluntarily donated 40m2 of garden land to build a road. From pioneers like Mr. Phuong, up to now, the whole commune has mobilized 350 households in the commune to donate nearly 3,500m2 of land to build 13km of roads...
In parallel, the work of building, renovating and upgrading village cultural houses was also actively supported by party members and people. In 2016, the whole commune built 3 new cultural houses in villages 6, 5, 9, and renovated and upgraded 7 village cultural houses to meet standards with the amount of money contributed by people being over 2.7 billion VND.

Increasing average income and reducing the poverty rate are also focused on by the Hoi Son Party Committee. In addition to promoting vocational training to shift agricultural labor to industrial and service labor, the Hoi Son Party Committee and government also focus on encouraging farmers to promote commodity production and increase income value per area.
Visiting the family of party member Nguyen Ba Thuy, one of the households developing an effective economic model. Since the commune party committee has a policy of encouraging the conversion of crop and livestock structure, Mr. Thuy's family has boldly switched to growing sugarcane and raising pigs.
With 1 hectare of sugarcane and a herd of 30 pigs, he also earns an annual income of over 100 million VND. The new rural area not only helps party members like Mr. Thuy to promote their role but also helps many other people in Hoi Son to change their thinking in production, know how to take advantage of natural advantages, know how to explore and innovate, boldly change models to become millionaires.
Currently, the average income per capita of Hoi Son is 18.5 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate has decreased to 3.65%.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Uy, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoi Son Commune, added: In building the new rural area of Hoi Son, in addition to promoting the pioneering, exemplary, and leading role of each Party member through specific, practical actions and responsible contributions to the construction, the Party Committee also assigned each member of the Steering Committee of the New Rural Area Construction Program to be in charge of monitoring, as well as organizing the implementation of each criterion, clearly assigning the tasks of the commune, the village, and the people, and having a specific time for completion.
