The musical play “The Sinful Goods” performed at the Theater of the Provincial Center for Ethnic Arts is part of a series of programs serving the public during the days when Vinh city and some localities are implementing social distancing according to Directives 16, 15, 19 to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
The folk song play denounces the crimes of human trafficking that are happening in some areas, especially in remote areas where poverty and backwardness still persist. The tricks and methods of human traffickers are mainly aimed at those in especially difficult and destitute circumstances. The play tells the story of a poor girl who studies well, but because of extreme poverty, her father, an alcoholic and gambler, had to sell her to an aunt who specializes in sending people to China to work. Being sold with false promises of easy work and high salaries caused Thao to fall into the trap of a Chinese boss's prostitution ring, and her life was ruined from then on. However, with determination and luck, she escaped and found her way back home.

What is special is that the show received a lot of interaction from the audience watching through the fanpage; there were cases where the script was changed according to the audience's request and was also re-performed.
To increase the propaganda effect, the Center invited Lawyers to answer questions from the audience about the laws, harms and common tricks to prevent human trafficking, after each performance.
The public service program will continue in late September and early October./.
