Developing raw material transportation
(Baonghean.vn) - The strength of Thanh Chuong mountainous district is still agriculture, so the construction of raw material roads is of local concern.
For many years now, every harvest season, not only Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa's family but also nearly 100 households in Thuong Lam village, Thanh An commune, Thanh Chuong district have to walk for kilometers to carry each bag of products to the street to wait for trucks to come and buy because there is no road to go in. According to the current price, 100 kg of fresh tea buds costs 350 thousand VND, if not doing so, the market price will be reduced by 40% to deduct transportation costs.
Also living on the hills, for more than 3 years now, 15 hectares of hilly land of Mr. Pham Van Viet's family in Hamlet 15, Thanh An Commune still has no access road. Realizing the importance of having a road, although life is facing many difficulties, he had to borrow and spend over 100 million VND to open a road to his family's plot.
According to Mr. Viet, if he spends 100 million VND now, he will earn over 1 billion VND in 5 years thanks to the development of raw materials and fruit trees such as acacia, tea and Dien grapefruit. To have a road, he had to sell 2 buffaloes and borrow another 60 million VND from the bank to open the road.
