(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 9, in Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Delegate of the 18th Provincial People's Council had a meeting with voters in the area.

Attending the conference were leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Chau district.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee informed voters of Chau Binh commune about the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of 2022. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that since the beginning of 2022, Nghe An has been affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the high prices of gasoline and input materials have affected production, business activities and people's lives.

However, with the active participation of the people, the participation of the entire political system, the attention, leadership, direction and implementation of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the socio-economic situation in the province continues to achieve positive results.

Specifically, the GRDP growth rate in the first 6 months is estimated at 8.44%, of which, agricultural growth is more than 4%, higher than the national average; the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 12.1% over the same period; service activities have been restored. In particular, export turnover reached 909 million USD; the number of tourists increased by 78% over the same period; Budget revenue in the first 5 months of the year was nearly 8,500 billion VND.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also informed voters of the expected agenda of the 6th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026. The session will be held for 2.5 days (from July 6 - 8, 2022) in Vinh city. The Provincial People's Council will consider and approve 34 draft resolutions and 23 types of reports; at the same time, report the results of handling opinions and recommendations of voters of Quy Chau district sent to the Provincial People's Council.

At the conference, voters of Chau Binh commune reflected to the provincial People's Council delegates many contents closely related to life. Mr. Ha Van Chinh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Binh commune said that the poverty rate of Chau Binh commune is still quite high, but in the past, each household had to pay 5 million VND to buy sand and gravel to build rural roads. Therefore, he suggested that the province have solutions so that the commune can collect sand and gravel from riverbanks to build socio-economic infrastructure, thereby reducing difficulties for the people.

Local people also reported that the road to Nong Trang village has seriously degraded, affecting the students' ability to go to school; some students dropped out of school because they did not have enough money to buy textbooks and requested the district to pay attention to supporting the purchase of textbooks for poor students in the area. At the same time, there should be a support policy for the teachers' association in the area.

On the other hand, people also expressed their opinions on the issue of allocating forestry land to people, forest protection policies; repairing school facilities before the new school year; the slow return of the rural low-voltage power grid; the intra-field canal system in Xang Coc village has not been invested in although Chau Binh commune has reached the new rural finish line...

Afterwards, leaders of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district, specialized departments and the People's Committee of Chau Binh commune specifically responded to the opinions and recommendations of the people. Leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that the district is currently promoting the construction of new rural areas, so the demand for sand and gravel for road construction is very large. However, because the area has not been planned for mineral mines, people have to pay money to buy sand and gravel, which puts pressure on people's lives.

Chau Binh commune alone has been granted 3,500 tons of cement, which requires a large amount of sand and gravel to build rural roads. Therefore, Quy Chau district recommends that the province consider and create favorable conditions to care for and help Quy Chau district in general and Chau Binh commune in particular to collect sand and gravel from alluvial grounds to build rural roads.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the opinions of the people; the reception, response and reply of the District People's Committee, departments, offices, and Chau Binh Commune People's Committee. At the same time, he requested that Quy Chau District and Chau Binh Commune continue to respond specifically and thoroughly resolve voters' recommendations in the coming time.

Regarding people's recommendations on infrastructure investment, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that currently, traffic infrastructure, intra-field canal infrastructure, information infrastructure, education and health infrastructure still have many limitations and people's desire for investment in construction and upgrading is completely legitimate.

However, the State budget is still limited, so the province's policy is to focus on investing in the construction of key projects that are urgent in life. Therefore, we hope that people will understand and sympathize; at the same time, we request the district to continue to arrange them into a suitable investment plan, ensuring balance; in which we pay attention and coordinate with the provincial VNPT to propose to include the broadcasting station investment plan in Nong Trang village.

Regarding the regime and policies for the people, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the district to review the causes and propose a regime for soldiers who died while in service. Regarding the land and mineral resources sector, Chau Binh commune synthesized and advised the district to resolve people's petitions surrounding the issue of land use rights for residential land and forestry land.

Assessing that the state management of minerals still has many shortcomings, comrade Nguyen Van Thong requested Quy Chau district to carefully study and propose the province to supplement the mineral exploitation planning in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring requirements on environment, traffic, and people's lives. While the province has not yet included it in the planning and has not yet granted mining licenses, he requested the district and commune to strengthen management, inspection, and prevention of illegal mining activities.

Regarding the work of allocating forestry land to people, Quy Chau district needs to report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution, ensuring the need for production land for people. This work needs to be resolved clearly and decisively, to avoid people violating the law./.
