(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 18, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong visited and presented gifts to support 5 families with dead people and 1 family with missing people in the flood caused by storm No. 4 in Ky Son district.
Also going to Ky Son district was comrade Vi Hoe - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Ky Son District Party Committee.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Van Thong met, encouraged and expressed condolences to the families and relatives of the victims, and supported each family with a person who died or went missing due to the flood with 3 million VND. The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also visited the locations where local forces were working to coordinate in implementing measures to search for missing people and overcome the consequences of floods in Ky Son district.

In the afternoon of the same day, comrade Nguyen Van Thong inspected and encouraged the forces to overcome the consequences of floods at Muong Xen Town Primary School and Muong Xen Town Kindergarten.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee praised the urgent working spirit of the military and police forces in the area who were on duty regularly and promptly present at difficult areas to help people and schools urgently clean up to prepare facilities in time to ensure the new school year.

On this occasion, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also visited the landslide scene on National Highway 7B to inspect and discuss with local leaders solutions to minimize impacts on people and property in the coming days.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested the district leaders to propagate and mobilize people and forces to participate in rescue and overcoming the consequences of floods, paying special attention to ensuring safety measures for life and health. Along with sharing and encouraging households with dead and missing people, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda on environmental sanitation and disease prevention in areas affected by floods.
