Dissemination of regulations on commercial mediation

At the conference, delegates listened to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Anh - Deputy Head of the Department of Asset Auction Management, Commercial Arbitration, Commercial Mediation under the Ministry of Justice introduce some basic contents of Decree No. 22/2017/ND-CP of the Government and guiding documents for implementation, including scope of regulation, subjects of application, scope of dispute resolution and conditions for dispute resolution, commercial mediators, procedures for commercial mediators, activities of foreign commercial mediation organizations in Vietnam,...

On that basis, delegates will better understand the importance and urgency of developing and promulgating this Decree, aiming to create a unified legal basis for commercial mediation activities as one of the independent methods of resolving commercial disputes, diversifying forms of dispute resolution and encouraging parties to resolve disputes outside of court according to the policies of the Party and State.

In addition, the promulgation of the Decree also contributes to creating a healthy and stable investment and business environment, enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises, further promoting judicial reform and international integration, and at the same time fully institutionalizing Vietnam's commitments in the WTO on commercial mediation services.
