Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education met with voters and attended the Great Unity Day in Nghi Loc district.

Delegates attended the ceremony. Also attending were comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, representatives of a number of relevant departments and branches. On the Nghi Loc district side, there was comrade Pham Hong Quang - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Nghi Loc District Party Committee.

Hamlet 3, Nghi Dong commune has 175 households with 776 people, nearly 100% of which are Catholic. In recent times, with the spirit of "Living the gospel in the heart of the nation to serve the happiness of compatriots", "Respecting God, loving the country", "Good Catholics are also good citizens", the people in the hamlet have united, supported and helped each other to actively work, produce, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and get rich legally. The average income per capita is increasing, estimated to reach 45 million VND/person/year in 2022. The number of well-off and rich households is increasing, while the number of poor and near-poor households is decreasing.

Campaigns and patriotic emulation movements were actively participated by the people, such as: Supporting the "For the Poor" Fund; supporting the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic and floods; contributing to building the national flag line, renovating the cultural house, building the road in front of the Xuan My Church... with a total amount of hundreds of millions of VND.

In addition, the people also pay attention to education, environmental protection, building cultural families and cultural villages; enhancing cultural, artistic and sports activities; promoting the exemplary role of every family and every person in the community; exemplary grandparents and parents, filial children following the example of the Holy Family.

To date, over 85.8% of households have achieved the title of Cultural Family. In the 2021-2022 school year, 7 students passed the university and college entrance exams. In the hamlet, a number of exemplary groups and individuals have emerged, actively performing the hamlet's tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong was pleased that the policies, movements and major campaigns of the Central, the province and the district had been enthusiastically responded to and actively participated in by the people of Nghi Dong commune in general and hamlet 3 in particular, achieving many good results.

At the same time, it is an opportunity to express patriotism, review the heroic tradition, the glorious revolutionary spirit of our nation's patriots, and demonstrate the intellectual and cultural qualities of the community. This is also an opportunity to honor and commend collectives, families, individuals, and typical examples with many achievements in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns.

From the achievements that have been made, in the coming time, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong also hopes that the cadres and people of hamlet 3 need to continue to build a democratic atmosphere and well implement the democratic regulations at the grassroots level.

In addition, we must practice solidarity, sincerity, honesty, live together in harmony, tolerance, generosity, and be kind to establish strong village and neighborhood relationships, helping each other in times of need. In the program, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education Dang Xuan Phuong also reported on the content and program of the 4th session of the 15th National Assembly. Notably, 6 laws were passed: Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level; Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (amended); Law on Inspection (amended); Law on Petroleum (amended); Law on Prevention and Control of Money Laundering (amended) and Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Radio Frequencies. In addition, the National Assembly also passed 13 resolutions, giving opinions on the reception, revision and adjustment of the time to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and approval of the Draft Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended) to the next session of the 4th session of the 15th National Assembly; giving initial opinions on 7 draft laws.

On the part of voters, there were also many opinions sent to the National Assembly delegates, such as the need to pay attention to the regime for village cadres, youth union branches, and association branches, especially after merging villages and hamlets; consider land prices to support compensation for site clearance in areas where projects are implemented; have a mechanism to support agricultural production when fertilizer prices increase, output prices for products are low, people's production is not profitable, and resolve the issue of granting land use right certificates...

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented 20 gifts to households in residential area 3 and presented "Great Unity" houses to families in difficult circumstances.
