Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended the Great Unity Day in Nghia Dan
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2018), on the morning of November 15, Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council came to celebrate the National Great Unity Day with the people of Men hamlet, Nghia Tho commune (Nghia Dan).
The Men hamlet residential group has 148 households and 639 people, of which 76% are Thai ethnic people. Over the past year, the Party cell committee - Front Working Committee of the Men hamlet residential group has focused on leading and implementing propaganda work, mobilizing people to effectively carry out major campaigns.

Implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new countryside and civilized urban areas", the cadres and people of Men hamlet have united, well implemented the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies, promoted economic development, reduced the poverty rate to 12%, and the average income per capita in 2017 was estimated at more than 15.6 million VND/person.
In particular, in the movement "Joining hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the people of Men hamlet donated more than 2,000 square meters of land along with many trees and fences; 100% of families have well implemented the regulations on civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals. Currently, Men hamlet has 81% of households meeting the standards of cultural families, 45% of sports families.

Speaking at the festival, Comrade Cao Thi Hien expressed her joy and acknowledged the achievements of the cadres and people of Men hamlet, and at the same time suggested that people continue to compete and strive to achieve the targets of Party Congresses at all levels; develop the local socio-economy and movements more effectively; especially strengthen the great national unity bloc.

At the ceremony, Comrade Cao Thi Hien presented 10 gifts to 10 poor households in the hamlet, each gift worth 500 VND. At the end of the ceremony, the delegation of Nghe An province planted a souvenir tree at the Men hamlet cultural house.
