Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh presents support to Nghe An to overcome damage caused by floods
(Baonghean.vn) - During her working program in Nghe An, on the morning of November 15, comrade Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the State presented more than 2.4 billion VND from the Central Relief Committee to support the people of Nghe An province to overcome the damage caused by floods.

Receiving the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy- Alternate Member of Central CommitteenurseryParty, Provincial Party Secretary; Nguyen Duc Trung- Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.
At the reception ceremony, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh acknowledged that Nghe An has always been proactive and not surprised in responding to natural disasters, thereby minimizing damage, especially loss of human life.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Vice President presented 2 billion VND from the Central Relief Committee to support the people of Nghe An province to overcome the damage caused by floods. In addition, the delegation of Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also presented 410 million VND to support the people of Nghe An province affected by floods.

Comrade Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also congratulated Nghe An province on successfully organizing the 19th Provincial Party Congress, as well as the very important achievements in all fields in 2020, despite being affected by natural disasters and the Covid-19 pandemic.
He believes that the province will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and strive to overcome difficulties to successfully implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress with the highest results.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy thanked the Vice President for visiting and encouraging the people of Nghe An province.
Due to the circulation of storm No. 9, the province experienced heavy to very heavy rain in the last days of October. The whole province had 102 communes and hamlets severely flooded, of which 52 communes and hamlets were isolated, 19,000 houses were flooded, about 8,000 households had to evacuate from flooded areas and areas at risk of landslides.

Nghe An has proactively responded with the motto "4 on-site"; implemented measures to protect people's lives and property, and State property; which has been highly appreciated by Military Region 4.
Up to now, the Party Committee, government and people have focused on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, but are still facing difficulties due to severe flooding, damaged houses, lost crops, and damaged traffic...
In that context, the Provincial Party Secretary respectfully thanked the Vice President for his timely support and encouragement to the people of the province; at the same time, affirmed that Nghe An will transfer the money early, promptly, and use it for the right purpose and effectively to support the people.
The Provincial Party Secretary also said that the recent Provincial Party Congress was very successful. Nghe An is determined to become a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2025; and a fairly developed province in the country by 2030. He also hoped that the Vice President and the comrades in the working delegation would continue to pay attention, help, and guide Nghe An to successfully implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
