Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee: Deploying synchronous solutions to ensure electricity meets the socio-economic development requirements of the province

On the afternoon of January 10, in Vinh city, Nghe An Electricity Company held a conference to review production and business activities in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.

Attending the conference were comrades: Le Van Thai - Deputy General Director of Northern Power Corporation; Bang Hong Hien - Director of Nghe An Power Company, and representatives of Power Companies; departments and offices of Nghe An Power Company.

On the side of Nghe An province, attending the conference were comrades: Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phan Thi Hoan - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee; Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, and representatives of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, the Economic Department of the Provincial Police.

In 2023, Nghe An Electricity Company will carry out production and business in difficult conditions due to the impact of the global supply chain being disrupted, high prices of fuel, materials and equipment, and the domestic production economy continuing to face many difficulties and challenges.

In addition, due to extreme weather and drought in May and June, water flow to hydroelectric reservoirs was low, causing a power shortage in the North. At many times, load reduction was required, making it very difficult to ensure power supply.

Nghe An Electricity Company has focused on applying scientific and technical advances to management and operation, effectively implementing digital transformation in all fields, improving production and business efficiency, paying special attention to corporate governance, and seriously implementing the annual theme "Practicing thrift, fighting waste" of the group and corporation.

With the help of the Northern Power Corporation, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, departments, branches and localities and the efforts of officers and employees, Nghe An Power Company has ensured electricity supply and fully met the electricity demand for socio-economic development and people's daily life, political and social events, holidays, Tet... the power grid operates stably and safely; successfully completing the tasks of the 2023 plan.

Notably, in 2023, commercial electricity reached 4,613.58 million kWh, reaching 103.21% of the plan; Revenue reached 8,854.43 billion VND, reaching 103.96% of the yearly plan. The rate of customers paying without cash reached 85.42%,...

In addition, the company has fully implemented the contents of the labor safety plan. Well implemented the administrative reform programs issued by the corporation, accelerated digital transformation in the fields of operation towards providing the best service to customers. Strengthened the implementation of corporate culture and labor and production movements.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh shared the difficulties of the Electricity sector in the past year. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the solidarity, unity, close and timely coordination of officers and employees of Nghe An Electricity Company with departments and branches to achieve excellent results in 2023, making an important contribution to the overall development of the province.

To promote the achieved results and ensure the production and business plan for 2024, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh suggested that Nghe An Electricity Company, together with departments, branches and localities, continue to coordinate in the construction of power projects to ensure compliance with regulations.

Develop a plan for operating and supplying electricity to ensure safety and reliability, especially in areas with high electricity consumption and areas at risk of overload during the hot season; Have a suitable plan for power outages, notify organizations and individuals, and have a plan to inspect, control, and handle violations of regulations on energy saving.

Continue to maintain and service the transmission system and transformer stations; inspect, evaluate and handle violations of the grid safety corridor.

In addition, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Industry and Trade, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, agencies and units to promptly report and propose the Northern Power Corporation to deploy synchronous solutions to ensure electricity to meet the socio-economic development requirements of the province.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh also directed departments, branches and localities to proactively coordinate, support and promptly resolve difficulties and problems, creating the most favorable conditions for investment, production and business of units in the Electricity sector in the area.

Actively coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches in developing the province's general planning, including plans and schemes for building the power grid of Nghe An province.

Actively grasp the socio-economic development situation and investment attraction of the province, to proactively propose to the corporation investment policies for power grid projects; Well implement land procedures and power supply procedures for the corporation's projects that have been and will be implemented in the area. Together with the corporation, ensure timely power supply for customers with large electricity needs, especially customers in industrial parks.

Prepare scenarios, plans and solutions to cope with power shortages during the hot season of 2024.

The Deputy General Director of the Northern Power Corporation also requested Nghe An Power Company to strictly implement the process, improve customer service quality; ensure safety for workers, assets, and vehicles in production and business.
