Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien encouraged people in the flooded area of Nhon Mai and inspected the plan to repair National Highway 16 and 543D.
On July 28, a delegation from Nghe An province visited Nhon Mai commune to visit and encourage people, authorities and forces affected by floods; and inspected plans to repair traffic infrastructure on National Highway 16 and Road 543D.
Comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as Head of the delegation. Accompanying the delegation were leaders of the following departments: Construction; Finance; Agriculture and Environment.

The recent flood affected 276 houses in Nhon Mai commune, of which 69 were completely swept away, 20 were severely damaged and 142 needed to be urgently evacuated. In addition, 46 other houses are in areas at high risk of landslides.

Many essential facilities such as community houses, kindergartens, and primary schools were severely damaged. The transportation, irrigation, power grid, and telecommunications systems suffered serious damage. The 35KV power system, transformer stations, and power lines were broken, causing widespread power outages.
Several broadcasting stations were broken and optical cables were severed. The old commune People's Committee headquarters, the commune police headquarters and the office kitchen were all deeply flooded or washed away, causing great damage to equipment, machinery and working means.

Immediately after the disaster, Nhon Mai commune authorities urgently mobilized police, military, and border guards to coordinate the evacuation of people and move assets to safety. At the same time, damage inspection and statistics are being conducted to propose emergency support measures...
To promptly encourage people in flood-hit areas, the provincial working group walked to cut landslides and approached some households that suffered heavy damage, with all their houses and property swept away; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien visited, encouraged, and shared the losses of people caused by natural disasters.

On the same day, the working group inspected the scene, assessed and agreed on a plan to repair the damage to the infrastructure of National Highway 16 from Tri Le commune to Nhon Mai commune, which was severely damaged, with many landslides and slides making it impossible for vehicles to circulate.

Directing at the scene, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien requested relevant units to concentrate machinery, equipment, human resources, work overtime, and urgently deploy construction to soon open the road to Nhon Mai commune.
During construction, safety must be ensured because this area still has heavy rain and landslides still occur.
In addition, the organization transports relief goods so that people do not go hungry. The province will do everything possible to soon clear the road for relief and help Nhon Mai commune overcome the consequences of the flood./.
