Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien encouraged localities in Western Nghe An to overcome damage caused by floods.

On July 27, a working delegation from Nghe An province led by Mr. Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged people and authorities in flooded areas; inspected traffic safety work and plans to repair traffic infrastructure affected by storm No. 3.

In the recent flood, in My Ly commune, 214 houses were swept away, 125 houses were flooded, 1 suspension bridge was swept away. The whole commune had 7/12 villages flooded, causing much damage to people's property. Medical stations, schools and some works of functional forces were flooded and damaged. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the suspension bridge of Chan village, Tuong Duong commune. The suspension bridge of Chan village and the suspension bridge of Lau village connect the residents of 4 villages: Chan village, Lau village, Mac village, Nhan village with the center of Tuong Duong commune. In the recent flood, both bridges were washed away, isolating the 4 villages on the other side of the river. In the immediate future, comrade Hoang Phu Hien suggested that the locality survey the location to set up a boat dock and a waiting room to serve the people. In the long term, Tuong Duong commune will survey the location and propose to build a rigid bridge as well as a traffic system connecting the villages on the other side of the river. The working group also inspected the Muong Xen - Ta Do - Muong Tip route. This route was severely damaged, especially a section completely washed away by floodwaters, cutting off many residential areas in Muong Tip commune. At the inspection points, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien requested relevant units to urgently mobilize machinery and equipment, develop a plan to handle and repair the situation, and install warning signs to ensure safety for traffic participants.
