The delegation visited the Cement Grinding Station and Deep-water Port project invested by The Vissai Group in Nghi Thiet Commune, Nghi Loc District. The Cement Grinding Station Phase 1 with a capacity of 5 million tons/year and the Deep-water Port Phase 1 project are being implemented on an area of ​​72 hectares.

The Vissai Group is actively constructing to meet the schedule and put into use the crushing station and seaport next October.

According to plan, the above deep-water port will be completed and put into operation next October, expected to be able to receive ships with a capacity of 70,000 tons, serving the transportation of finished cement from 2 factories invested by The Vissai Group in Nghe An to other countries.

At key projects and works, provincial leaders and representatives of The Vissai Group proposed to the Deputy Prime Minister a number of mechanisms and policies to support Nghe An in compensation and site clearance, to soon complete construction and put it into operation and use.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged the efforts of the investor and Nghe An to speed up the progress of the two key projects being implemented. He said that the seaport under construction in Nghi Thiet commune, when completed, will be a driving force to attract investment to Nghe An. Therefore, the province needs to resolutely implement the construction, do a good job of site clearance, support investors, but not forget to focus on resettlement work and solving livelihoods for local people.

Besides, he pointed out that Nghe An needs to consider Vinh - Cua Lo avenue as a new development axis, connecting the two growth poles of the province, taking advantage of investment cooperation opportunities to develop the province's socio-economy.
