Coordinate well the implementation of the Tet for the poor movement Mau Tuat 2018

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 13, the Provincial "Fund for the Poor" Campaign Committee held a summary of the campaign to support the Fund for the Poor and relief work in 2017, and deployed tasks for 2018.

Nghe An currently has more than 65,000 poor households, accounting for 7.3%, concentrated in mountainous districts and border areas. Over the past year, the Provincial “Fund for the Poor” Mobilization Committee has called on and mobilized agencies, organizations, units, businesses, philanthropists inside and outside the province; and people from all walks of life to join hands to help the poor stabilize their lives with a total amount of over 22 billion VND.From the donated money, 541 new houses were built, 299 Great Solidarity houses were repaired, 1,150 poor people were examined and treated, and over 1,000 households were supported to escape poverty sustainably.

Also in 2017, the Dinh Dau “Tet for the Poor” program received over 48 billion VND in registered donations in cash and kind. It was distributed to over 80,000 households, including over 72,000 poor households, 11,000 near-poor households, policy families, and social protection beneficiaries.

In the coming time, the Provincial “Fund for the Poor” Campaign Committee will continue to promote propaganda and mobilization of the purpose and meaning of the “Fund for the Poor” campaign. In particular, focusing on coordinating well the program “Tet for the Poor in Mau Tuat 2018” and the letter calling on businesses to support the program of the Provincial Party Secretary - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to help the poor enjoy Tet and welcome spring.
