Kim Lien commune women organized a cooking contest on October 20th

(Baonghean.vn)- Celebrating the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2013), on October 19, the Women's Union of Kim Lien commune (Nam Dan) organized the contest "Housekeeping with nutritious meals".

The contest is an opportunity for women to exchange, learn and share experiences. The contest is also a place to praise and honor the ingenuity and diligence of women. Thereby, promoting and raising women's awareness of the quality of family life and preserving the culinary culture of the Vietnamese people, while also training them in the skills to build happy families.

The contest has 13 teams representing women from 24 villages. Each contest meal must have a menu attached, the value of which does not exceed 200,000 VND, ensuring reasonable nutritional composition for 6 meals/1 meal.

The judges scored the contest dishes.

Despite the unfavorable weather, the atmosphere of the contest was bustling from 8am. After the draw, the contestants quickly did their work. The fragrant cooking smell mixed with questions about the names of the dishes and how to prepare them made the atmosphere of the contest joyful and bustling.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - President of Kim Lien Commune Women's Union said: "This is the first time the commune has organized a cooking contest. Hopefully this contest will be a meaningful gift for women on October 20th."

In the end, the contest awarded 7 consolation prizes, 3 third prizes, 2 second prizes and 1 first prize. In which, the first prize was for the dishes that were elaborately prepared, unique and extremely beautiful, coming from team number 3 including two hamlets Hong 1 and Hong 2.
