Nghi Huong Ward (Cua Lo Town) celebrates its 70th anniversary

Nghi Huong Ward, Cua Lo Town today was established in 1954 on the basis of separation from Hop Chau Commune, Nghi Loc District. After 70 years of construction and development, with the attention and direction of the Town Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; the support and assistance of the town's departments, branches, and organizations; the solidarity, proactiveness, and high determination in leadership, direction, and operation, the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghi Huong Ward have synchronously deployed the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building a strong political system, and achieving many great achievements.
The average income per capita of the ward reached over 100 million VND/year (an increase of over 60 million VND compared to 2014); the whole ward has only 5 poor households. The cultural and social fields have received due investment. National defense and security have been maintained. The work of building the Party and the political system has always been focused on politics, ideology and organization.
The staff from ward to block is always united, cooperative and has been consolidated, improved and improved in quality. Administrative reform has been implemented effectively and efficiently to meet the requirements of the people, organizations and businesses. The activities of the Fatherland Front and political organizations have been consolidated, gradually innovating the content and methods of effective operation.
In particular, with the advantage of being the center of coastal tourism in Cua Lo town, in recent times, Nghi Huong ward has focused on investing in infrastructure construction; the system of restaurants and accommodation facilities has developed to become more and more spacious and modern. Thanks to that, in the 2024 tourist season, Nghi Huong ward welcomed over 1.2 million visitors; of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 360,000, with an estimated revenue of 520 billion VND.
In the coming time, the ward will continue to concretize, deploy, and effectively organize the implementation of directives, resolutions, programs, and plans of all levels and the ward's political tasks; do a good job of Party and government building; promptly resolve difficulties and pressing people's issues in the area; continue to invest and complete construction of sea tourism infrastructure to serve the needs of domestic, provincial, and international tourists; strengthen the effectiveness of State management in the management of construction order, urban order, environmental protection, administrative reform, and ensuring social security in the area...
On this occasion, 1 collective and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the name Nghi Huong (1954 - 2024) received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Cua Lo town presented the ward with a banner bearing the words "Nghi Huong Ward promotes the 70-year tradition of "Solidarity - Innovation - Aspiration - Development".
