Military Region 4 inspects the task of collecting martyrs' graves in Laos
(Baonghean.vn) - From December 9 to 18, the Working Group of Steering Committee 1237 of Military Region 4 inspected the Collection Teams of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, and Ha Tinh provinces, which are on duty to search for and exhume the graves of Vietnamese martyrs in the provinces of Xalavan, Xavannakhet, Khammuon, and Bolykhamxay in the 2016-2017 dry season, and worked with the Special Working Groups of several neighboring provinces.
Major General Tran Tien Dung - Deputy Political Commissar, Head of Steering Committee 1237, Military Region 4, led the delegation.
In the dry season of 2016 - 2017, the Collection Teams of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, and Ha Tinh provinces focused on doing a good job of preparation; conducting field surveys, and grasping information sources about martyrs' graves before deploying forces to search and excavate on the neighboring land.

During the process of carrying out the collection mission in Laos, despite facing many difficulties in terms of weather, information sources, and search terrain, with the highest determination, the officers of the Collection Teams proactively and effectively coordinated with the Special Task Force of the Laos, deploying forces in many directions and directions.
During the search process, the Collection Team's cadres actively maintained a close grasp of the area, exploited and effectively processed information sources about the graves of Vietnamese martyrs provided by the local people and the forces of the Friends to organize the search and excavation to ensure effectiveness.
During the first two months of the 2016-2017 dry season, the Collection Teams of the provinces of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, and Ha Tinh exhumed 37 graves of martyrs of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts (of which, Thua Thien Hue: 12 graves, Quang Tri: 11 graves, Quang Binh: 11 graves; Ha Tinh: 3 graves).

Through on-site inspection and inspection of information exploitation tasks; financial assurance and material facilities of the Collection Teams, the Steering Committee 1237 of the Military Region highly appreciated the collection results of the Teams in the first 2 months of the 2016-2017 dry season.
The Military Region 1237 Steering Committee requests that the Collection Teams continue to closely coordinate with the Special Working Group of the Friends to search for highly accurate sources of information on Vietnamese martyrs' graves for the most effective survey and search; organize the search and excavation to reach the site and conclude the area accordingly.

During the mission, actively learn Lao language and local customs. Strengthen coordination activities in the search area to enhance the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. Proactively prepare for the survey mission for the 2017-2018 dry season.
Working with the Special Working Group of Xalavan, Xavannakhet, Khammuon, Bolykhamxay and Vientiane Capital - Laos, Major General Tran Tien Dung sincerely thanked the cooperation and assistance of the Friends for the forces collecting martyrs' graves of the Military Region in the area in recent times.
At the same time, we hope that the Special Working Groups of the provinces will continue to direct the grassroots to strengthen propaganda work, especially propaganda for the villagers and veterans, those who directly participated in the fighting to provide information on martyrs' graves to the Collection Teams.
