(Baonghean.vn) - Voters of Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district proposed that the province pay attention to developing mountain tourism combined with a series of mountain development projects to promote tourism potential and strengths, creating a change in the structure of industries, jobs and income for the people.

Regarding this issue, the Provincial People's Committee responded as follows:

Recently, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism:

- Strengthening the propaganda, promotion and introduction of images of destinations and tour programs and routes of Quy Chau tourism such as: Quy Chau Ethnic Culture Museum, Quy Chau water wheel, incense craft village, brocade weaving village in Chau Tien, Hang Bua Festival and tour programs included in tourism publications: Tourism photo books, Tourism postcards, USB cards, brochures introducing Nghe An tourism, Nghe An tourism handbook, Nghe An welcomes you brochure, Nghe An tourism map... in languages: Vietnamese, English, Thai, Japanese. These publications are being promoted at domestic and international tourism promotion conferences.

- Coordinate with the Department of Culture and Information of Quy Chau district to write articles and build a special page introducing the tourism potential of Quy Chau district in the Culture, Sports & Tourism Newsletter No. 09-2016 released on October 5, 2016.

- Update and introduce destinations, festival programs, beautiful images of Quy Chau Tourism through the industry's electronic information pages such as Facebook dulichtinhnghean, Nghe An Tourism Website.

- Conduct surveys and evaluate tourism potential and advantages as well as the current status of tourism infrastructure. From October 19-21, 2016, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a survey team, through which it was determined that:

+ Tourism products that can be exploited: Community tourism in Hoa Tien village, Chau Tien commune; Tourism to visit cultural and historical relics (Hang Bua - Tham Chang - Tham Om); Visiting the Museum of Ethnic Cultures in Quy Chau district; Tourism to Hoa Tien brocade weaving village, Chau Tien, Quy Chau Incense Craft Village; Culinary culture (Bitter soup, beef stew, sour meat, grilled fish, Lam fish, Lam rice, Ot soup, Bau duck, Moc family, dipping sauces...). In addition, in the villages and communes in the district, it is possible to develop resort tourism areas combined with medical treatment using medicine from ethnic minorities and rare medicinal plants found in the forest.

+ Possible tourist routes: District center and surrounding tourist routes (Quỳ Châu District Ethnic Culture Museum - Incense Craft Village - Tat Ngoi Waterfall and Eco-Restaurant - Nam Pong Hydropower Plant); Visiting caves and craft villages in villages: Hang Bua - Tham Chang - Tham Om - Pa Xún Cave, Dua Waterfall, Tat Ngoi, Khe My Waterfall, Voi Cave - Brocade weaving village in Hoa Tien Village...; Inter-district eco-cultural tourist routes: Vinh - Nghia Dan (Clean vegetable garden, Sunflower growing area, TH milk farm) - Quy Hop (Choong Temple, Ban Bia waterfall) - Quy Chau (Quy Chau District Ethnic Culture Museum - Hoa Tien Community Tourism Village, Tham Bua (cave), Tham Om) - Que Phong (Xao Va Waterfall, 7-storey waterfall, Chin Gian Temple)...

* Some limitations exist:

- Quy Chau has not yet built a project to develop tourism for the whole district; has not yet included the tourism development program in the Resolution of the District Party Committee. Therefore, the leadership and direction of tourism activities are not close and not resolute.

- The district has not really paid attention to the propaganda and promotion of tourism. Up to now, the district has not had its own cultural and tourism promotion publications; the electronic information page http://www.quychau.nghean.gov.vn has no information about tourism in the district. At the tourist sites of Tham Bua and Tham Om, there is no team of tour guides.

- Accommodation facilities in the district are still limited. The activities of welcoming guests and doing community tourism business in Hoa Tien village, Chau Tien commune are still spontaneous; Families doing community tourism business have not invested systematically in the system of facilities to welcome guests (standard restrooms, bedrooms, food preparation...), tourism services, foreign languages, behavioral culture, service style, welcoming guests... have not met the requirements of tourists.

* Solutions in the future:

- The Provincial People's Committee will continue to promote and introduce information, images, tour programs, and routes of tourism in the whole province in general and Quy Chau district in particular at cultural and tourism events in the province, domestically and internationally; coordinate to introduce on media, industry newsletters, tourism publications, etc.

- Towards Quy Chau district:

+ Focus on investing in tourism infrastructure and facilities and supporting vocational training and tourism professional development for Quy Chau district.

+ Pay attention to directing specialized departments to develop programs, projects, and plans to preserve and promote the value of tangible and intangible heritages in the area to serve tourism development. Repair and upgrade existing historical and cultural relics in the area; pay attention to restoring and developing traditional craft villages (brocade, wine, cuisine, etc.), handicraft production facilities to create consumer products, souvenirs and attract tourists to visit, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the district.

+ Continue to strengthen propaganda and promotion work, introducing the district's tourism potential on media and publications...

+ Ensure security, order, hygiene, environment and safety for tourists at tourist attractions in the district.
