Que Ngoc Hai is confident before the fateful confrontation
(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon (June 4), head coach Park Hang-seo and captain Que Ngoc Hai attended the official press conference before the opening of King's Cup 2019 against host Thailand.
Coach Park frankly asked Thai newspapers to correct false information.
Accordingly, in an interview with the Vietnamese media before leaving for Thailand, Mr. Park said that he felt a bit regretful when accepting the invitation to participate in the King's Cup 2019 because the tight competition schedule could affect the physical strength of his players. However, some Thai newspapers affirmed that Mr. Park despised the traditional friendly tournament of the Land of the Golden Pagoda.

"After reading a Thai newspaper article, I found that they reported false information when they said that I intended to look down on the King's Cup. I never spoke out to underestimate and look down on the King's Cup as this newspaper shared. I request that this Thai press agency correct this information!", Coach Park Hang-seo emphasized among dozens of Thai journalists present at the press conference room at Chang Arena Stadium.
When asked about his concern for the opponent's squad, especially when Thailand's number 1 attacker Chanathip Songkrasin could not participate, Mr. Park said:
"I know the small player Chanathip Songkrasin, he is known as the Thai Messi but honestly I don't really care whether he plays or not. Whether he plays or not has never affected the tactics of the Vietnamese team," coach Park answered a question from a Thai journalist.
Over the years, Thai people have always wondered where their football is after the continuous successes of Vietnamese football, and they chose King's Cup 2019 as the place to find the answer for themselves.
"For us, no matter who we face, I always tell my players to be confident and to go out on the field without any fear. Even when facing strong teams like Korea or Japan, we are not afraid of anyone. We know that Thailand is a strong team and has a lot of connections with Vietnamese football. I told my players that tomorrow we can win, or even lose to the Thais, but that is not important. The most important thing is to learn a lesson."
''I want to say that the Vietnamese team respects the Thai people, but we are not afraid to face you,'' coach Park Hang-seo confidently affirmed before the match with Thailand tomorrow, June 5.

"At the recent Asian Cup, the Vietnamese team showed how well they can play against big opponents in Asia. We believe that we can win every match with our performance."
