Que Ngoc Hai and his desire to be 'the king' with his hometown team

PV: What factors made you want to return to join the SLNA team?

Que Ngoc Hai:After the contract with Viettel Club ended, Hai also received many invitations from many teams, but when SLNA sent an offer, he did not think much and quickly decided to return to play for his hometown team.

The first factor for this decision is actually family, then the desire to return to contribute to the hometown team while I still have good physical strength and skills.SLNAis the place that has brought Hai everything in football as well as life, the love of Nghe An fans is always in Hai's heart. Therefore, Hai returned with the hope of contributing more to the team, to bring achievements to the club, as well as the fans who love Nghe An football team.

PV: Having played for a top Vietnamese football team, how will it help Hai when he returns to serve his hometown team?

Que Ngoc Hai:Viettel is a club with a very good environment, from the facilities, professional quality, and professionalism of the players. Playing here has brought Hai personal titles, especially valuable experiences in the field of football, as well as many other skills. Those experiences will help Hai have enough knowledge and courage to help the club develop steadily in the future.

PV: What is your biggest career aspiration?

Que Ngoc Hai:A player always wants to achieve titles with the team he plays for; with SLNA, that desire is much stronger. Hai once said that the biggest goal in his football career is to win the V.League championship with his hometown team. With the current potential of the Nghe An team, Hai thinks that he and his young teammates will work seriously and make efforts to bring good results to the club.

PV: How do you rate the new players that SLNA has brought in this season?

Que Ngoc Hai:The new recruits who have arrived this season are all players who have grown up from the SLNA training center, have played for many leading clubs in Vietnam and have become famous. They will certainly be a very high-quality addition to the Nghe An team. They will pass on a lot of experience to their juniors, to build a strong and developing team together.

SLNA's foreign players this season are practicing very hard to gain the trust of the coaching staff. As for Olaha, he is a player with very good technique and fighting spirit. In previous seasons playing for SLNA, the Nigerian player has affirmed his name. After playing abroad and returning, he has matured and improved. Hopefully, everyone will work together smoothly to bring positive things to the team.

PV: What do you think about SLNA head coach Nguyen Huy Hoang, knowing that Hai and Hoang had a season playing together in the past?

Que Ngoc Hai:In Vietnamese football, Hai's biggest idol has always been Hoang. When Hai was still playing, Huy Hoang was already at the end of his career, so they didn't have much chance to play together. However, training with Hoang has helped Hai improve a lot. Hopefully, Hoang and Hai will support each other and complement each other for the common goal of the team.

PV: What do you think about the situation of V.League this year when the clubs have invested quite heavily?

Que Ngoc Hai:In the past 10 years, this year is the season with the strongest investment by football teams. Clubs such as Binh Dinh, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon, HAGL… all brought in many quality players. Therefore, the race for the championship will be very dramatic and unpredictable.

Any team with depth and good foreign players will have a better chance of winning the highest position this season. Hai hopes to play well with SLNA Club and contribute beautiful and effective matches, bringing many emotions to the fans. Thereby, bringing the love of SLNA audiences from all over the country back to the pride of Nghe An football.

PV: What message does Hai want to send to SLNA fans?

Que Ngoc Hai:Hai is very grateful for the affection of the fans in the past time. Although the team has had difficult times, the fans have always been there and supported. Hopefully, in the future, the whole team will compete well and continue to receive the support of a large audience. Hopefully, fans will return to Vinh Stadium more often so that this place can become a "fire pot" as vibrant as it was in the past.
