The National Assembly supervises a series of transportation projects in many localities, including Nghe An.

On the morning of August 18, continuing the 25th session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft supervision plan and report outline of the National Assembly's supervision delegation on "Implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program and resolutions of the National Assembly on a number of important national projects until the end of 2023". This is one of the two supreme supervision topics of the National Assembly in 2024.

Reporting at the meeting, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Supervisory Delegation, said that the supervision content focuses on the implementation of tasks, solutions, and policies stipulated in Resolution No. 43/2023/QH15; the implementation of resolutions of the National Assembly on investment policies for important national projects (Long Thanh Airport project; North-South expressway projects in the East for the period 2017 - 2020 and 2021 - 2025; Ring Road 4 project - Hanoi Capital Region; Ring Road 3 project of Ho Chi Minh City; Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project phase 1; Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project phase 1; Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project phase 1).

Based on the synthesis of the results of the monitoring subjects and the monitoring results of the National Assembly Delegation in the locality and relevant agencies, the Monitoring Delegation will directly monitor a number of ministries, branches and localities. In particular, focusing on places with outstanding situations, representative of regions and areas, which are provinces and cities that have implemented both contents of the monitoring delegation.

Regarding the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on a number of important national projects, supervision will be carried out at the Ministry of Transport and localities where projects are being implemented: An Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Bac Ninh, Binh Dinh, Binh Thuan, Binh Duong, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Hau Giang, Hung Yen, Khanh Hoa, Long An, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Quang Binh, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Soc Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Tien Giang, Vinh Long.

The monitoring team directly supervises the locality in the field and through monitoring reports. For the localities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, the Head of the monitoring team will preside over the work.

Discussing at the meeting, opinions said that the content of supervision needs to continue to be reviewed to ensure an approach to large, focused, key groups of issues, avoiding spreading, and carefully researching to use the results of inspection, examination, audit, and supervision of National Assembly agencies during the implementation of the above resolutions.

Regarding the National Assembly's resolutions on a number of important national projects until the end of 2023, they mainly focus on the transport sector, so the responsibility of this ministry is extremely important.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, Head of the monitoring delegation, said that the monitoring delegation will continue to perfect the monitoring plan and at the same time mobilize the People's Councils of localities to coordinate in implementing monitoring in that locality to ensure progress and quality of monitoring.
