The National Assembly passed four laws and six resolutions earlier this week.

Specifically, during the working days of November 14 and 15, the National Assembly voted to pass four draft laws, including: the Law on Inspection (amended); the Law on Petroleum (amended); the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (amended); and the Law on Prevention and Control of Money Laundering (amended).

Six resolutions were also considered and passed: Resolution on promulgating the National Assembly Session Regulations (amended); Resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province; Resolution on piloting the granting of the right to select and use car license plates through auction.

Resolution on the results of the thematic supervision of “Implementation of policies and laws on practicing thrift and combating waste in the period of 2016-2021”; Resolution on questions and answers; Resolution of the 4th session of the 15th National Assembly (including the content on extending the implementation period of Resolution No. 54/2017/QH14; regulations on the application of the statute of limitations for disciplinary action against cadres, civil servants, and public employees; and the content on adding information about “place of birth” to passports issued to Vietnamese citizens).

Delegates also discussed in the hall two important draft laws: the Land Law (amended) and the Bidding Law (amended).

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue delivered a closing speech at the 4th session late on November 15.
