Quynh Lien (Hoang Mai Town): Receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and reaching the new rural finish line

((Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 13, Quynh Lien commune (Hoang Mai town) held a ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the Armed Forces and the Certificate of recognition for meeting the new rural standards (NTM) in 2015. Attending the ceremony was comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also attending were representatives of Military Region 4 Command, Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office, Provincial Military Command and representatives of leaders of Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu district and representatives of people from all walks of life in Quynh Lien commune.

After peace was restored, Quynh Lien commune made efforts to rebuild its homeland. Over the past 5 years, the socio-economy has changed by maintaining an annual economic growth rate of 14-15%, the economic structure has shifted positively; the commune is a bright spot in terms of national standards for health and education and was chosen by the town as a focal point for the province's new rural construction.

Thanks to the good implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, in the past 3 years, the commune has mobilized over 100 billion VND, of which nearly 50% came from the people, to complete 19/19 criteria recognized by the Provincial People's Committee.

With great contributions in the war and efforts to unite in building the new rural area, the people of Quynh Lien commune were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the President and were the first commune of Hoang Mai town to be considered and recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to meet the new rural standards.

Congratulating the achievements of Quynh Lien commune, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the commune will promote its revolutionary tradition, continue to promote the emulation movement to build new rural areas, build the homeland; constantly strive to improve the quality of new rural criteria, pay attention to supporting the development of clean technology production models, and strengthen the linkage of "4 houses" in production.

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Representative of the City Party Committee awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and the Certificate of recognition of meeting the new rural standards to Quynh Lien commune and awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in building new rural areas.
