Launching of Agent Orange Magazine Vietnam Representative Office in North Central Region
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 14, in Vinh city, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held the opening ceremony of the Representative Office of Vietnam Agent Orange Magazine in the North Central region.
Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh - Former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, Director of the Vietnam Fund for Victims of Agent Orange; Colonel Tran Dinh Dich - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Agent Orange Magazine.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of departments, branches and sectors; representatives of the Association of Agent Orange Victims of 6 North Central provinces; representatives of news agencies and press.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin emphasized: Along with the development of the Association, the Vietnam Agent Orange Magazine has had comprehensive development, successfully fulfilling its function as the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin. The magazine has become a forum, a trusted voice of Agent Orange victims, a bridge between the Party, the State, local Party committees and authorities with Agent Orange victims.

The magazine focuses on reflecting in depth on the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam, the Party and State's policies, viewpoints, laws, and regimes for Agent Orange victims, the struggle for justice of Vietnamese Agent Orange victims in the new situation; examples of overcoming difficulties and rising up of victims and golden hearts for Agent Orange victims.
The magazine also reflects the activities of the Association, typical examples of association officials, good and effective practices, valuable experiences in the practice of building, consolidating, developing the Association and mobilizing social resources to care for and nurture victims of Agent Orange.

The establishment of the North Central Representative Office of the Magazine aims to enrich information channels so that the Magazine is truly useful, a reliable address for domestic and foreign readers; affirming its position and solid standing in the hearts of readers.
At the ceremony, Colonel Tran Dinh Dich - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Agent Orange Magazine announced the decisions of the President of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin on the establishment of the Representative Office and personnel. Accordingly, Journalist Nguyen Nhu Y was appointed by the President of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin as Head of the Representative Office, Journalist Tran Thi Hang as Deputy Head of the Representative Office of Vietnam Agent Orange Magazine in the North Central region.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presented 30 gifts and a business presented 10 gifts to victims of Agent Orange in Nghe An province; each gift is worth 1.2 million VND.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Agent Orange Victims Fund supported the construction of two gratitude houses, worth 100 million VND, for two families of Agent Orange victims in Nghe An province./.
