On the morning of September 24, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An organized a training conference for officials working on poverty reduction at district and commune levels.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; representatives of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and officials working on poverty reduction at the commune level in the districts, cities and towns: Anh Son, Quy Chau, Ky Son, Que Phong, Do Luong, Dien Chau, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Quynh Luu and Cua Lo town. |
At the conference, delegates were guided on a number of policies and documents related to poverty reduction work of the Central Government and Nghe An province. At the same time, they were guided on updating changes in poor and near-poor households into the poverty management software.

On that basis, implement Plan No. 540/KH - UBND dated September 3, 2019 of the Provincial People's Committee on reviewing poor and near-poor households in 2019 according to the multidimensional poverty standards applied for the period 2016 - 2020. The purpose is to help evaluate the results of implementing the poverty reduction target in 2019 and serve as a basis for developing plans and solutions to implement the poverty reduction and social security target in 2020.
Along with that, build a database and characteristics of poor and near-poor households to serve the management, monitoring and evaluation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2016 - 2020.

The requirements set forth in the review process must be implemented from the block, hamlet, village, and directly at households, ensuring accuracy, compliance with procedures and regulations, publicity, democracy, fairness, and participation of all levels, sectors, mass organizations and people; combating the disease of achievements and bureaucracy; accurately reflecting the poverty situation of the locality, ensuring the synthesis of the results report in the correct form, order and progress according to plan.

It is expected that on September 25, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will continue to organize training for officials working on poverty reduction in the remaining districts, cities and towns.
