(Baonghean.vn) - Before the question and answer session at the 4th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, many voters expressed their concerns and wishes regarding vocational training and job creation.

Voter Nguyen Xuan Phuong - Principal of Nghe An College of Economics - Industry and Handicrafts: "Lack of mechanism to attract good lecturers".

In recent years, the quantity and quality of vocational training in the province have changed positively. However, the reality still has some limitations. There are cases where skilled people can only teach for a short time and then leave to work outside because of higher income, which means we are lacking a mechanism to attract talented people to become lecturers for vocational schools.

Another problem that needs to be overcome is the facilities and teaching equipment. Vocational schools must have facilities at least equal to those of outside businesses, or more modern. However, in reality, the facilities and machinery in vocational schools are much more outdated than those in the business environment, so vocational graduates must be updated and trained, making it difficult to meet international standards.

Besides, I recommend that the authorities need to identify key occupations of each locality, thereby prioritizing investment in training facilities to meet the needs of businesses in the area.

Voter Vu Duc Luyen - Director of Nghia Dan Vocational Training Center: "It is necessary to allocate more vocational training budget to districts".

The demand for vocational training in Nghia Dan in recent years has been very large, mainly in agricultural occupations such as animal husbandry, fruit tree planting, etc. However, the products made after training are relatively difficult to sell in the area due to low market demand. Therefore, after completing vocational training, people only stop at moderate models, not daring to organize large-scale production because they are still uncertain about the output and are not sure of it. Therefore, I suggest that authorities at all levels pay more attention and create conditions to solve the output problem for the people. In addition, I suggest that the province allocate more vocational training budget to districts, especially mountainous districts like Nghia Dan, because the current level is still too low, not enough to meet the great demand for vocational training and practice of the people.

Voter Duong Xuan Phuc - Labor Market Information Department, Nghe An Provincial Employment Service Center: "Many workersnot meet the needs of employers".

In the first 6 months of 2017, the center recruited 1,045 workers. The rate of recruited workers reached 24%, mainly from mobile job exchanges in localities such as Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son. Meanwhile, the number of workers recruited through fixed job exchanges is still limited, mainly due to the difficulty of propaganda work due to the large area and low funding for propaganda.

Not only that, the imbalance in the structure of occupations and professional qualifications is still high, many workers, students and new graduates do not meet the needs of employers. The situation of "job hopping" among workers is still common, leading to the situation where employers are wary of workers in Nghe An.

It is thought that authorities at all levels need to review the demand for rural labor to have appropriate vocational training plans. To implement more effectively, there needs to be close links between the "4 houses", especially in the current period, it is necessary to promote the role of cooperatives, which are considered as "midwives", bridges for farming households after vocational training and consuming products from the profession. In addition, Party committees and authorities must have specific topics, considering vocational training to both solve employment for local workers and create human resources for companies, enterprises and factories. In particular, vocational training units must have real capacity, in reality, there are currently some lecturers who have not had practical experience, so the transfer of vocational skills is still limited, leading to low efficiency.

Voter Le Tien Sau - General worker, Hoang Mai town: "Focus on foreign language and skills training for young workers".

Workers working in foreign enterprises like us face many difficulties in terms of foreign languages, working skills, ability to withstand time pressure, etc. Therefore, I think that those who are preparing to enter the labor market need to equip themselves with a solid foreign language foundation, practice more and get used to work pressure.

Agencies and organizations in Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular should focus on creating a learning and training environment for young workers to break down language and skill barriers in today's stressful working environment./.
