Dry, cracked fields, withered corn and cassava at the border of Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - In the border commune of Tam Quang, Tuong Duong district, corn, rice, cassava, elephant grass fields... are gradually dying and drying up due to the intense heat. Many areas are at risk of being abandoned due to lack of water.

According to officials of Tam Quang Commune People's Committee, the whole commune has about 100 hectares of summer-autumn rice, but up to now, only about 50% have been planted.
