During this season, when the Cha Lap stream flows through the village and is clear, allowing you to see every stone at the bottom of the water, it is also the right time for Mr. Lo Van May and many people in Xop Nam village, Tam Hop border commune, Tuong Duong district, to go fishing in the streams.
Mr. May shared: “To catch stream fish in this clear water season is not easy, you have to use a way to lure the fish. The stream has strong currents all year round, so you can’t use bait to lure the fish, you have to throw stream rocks into the water. When the fish see movement, they will think there is food and swim towards it, gather in schools, then quickly swing the net to catch them all.”

To catch cool fish in this clear water season, in addition to casting nets or using homemade sharp steel guns to catch at night, during the day, throwing rocks to lure fish and casting nets is the most popular and effective.
By throwing rocks to lure fish, Tam Hop people can catch 2 to 3 kg of cool fish a day.
