On the first day, students will receive their classes and homeroom teachers. During the nearly 2 hours, homeroom teachers will introduce the contents of the school year as well as the rules and regulations of the school and class, elect the executive committee and implement some preparations for the opening ceremony.

At some schools, there will be review sessions to reinforce basic knowledge for students and re-exams for students to move up a grade (if any).
