Updated as of the morning of September 11, many roads in Western Nghe An such as Ky Son, Tuong Duong, and Que Phong districts were cut off due to landslides and riverbank landslides.

Landslides also occurred in other communes of Ky Son such as Na Loi, Huoi Tu, Ta Ca, and Muong Tip. Huoi Tu commune has placed warning signs of traffic jams due to landslides. The leader of Huoi Tu commune People's Committee said that due to heavy rain, the amount of water flowing into Xop Tu stream was too large. On the morning of September 11, the water rose high and flowed rapidly at the two spillways over Xop Tu stream at Km16 + 610 on Provincial Road 543 (from Nga Ba - Huoi Khe - Pha Xac - Muong Long My Ly - My Ly intersection).
