(Baonghean.vn) - Ky Son district has suffered a major flood that swept away, submerged, and damaged many houses and people's properties, leaving 6 people dead and missing. Over the past 10 days, 1 missing victim swept away by flood in the border commune of Muong Ai has not been found.
According to Mr. Cut Pho Hon - Secretary of the Party Committee of Muong Ai commune, the missing victim who has not been found is Moong Pho Tuat (born in 1974), residing in Xop Phong village, Muong Ai commune.
Specifically, on the morning of August 17, due to rising floodwaters in the stream, the entire house was swept away along with Mr. Moong Pho Uon (nearly 80 years old) and his son Moong Pho Tuat, who were in the house at that time.

After the incident, the Party Committee and the authorities of Muong Ai commune organized a search for the victims. The body of the victim Moong Pho Uon was found on the Nam Mo River, passing through Na Luong village, Huu Kiem commune, and Mr. Uon's son was actively searched for but with no results. Currently, the search is still continuing...
Also according to Mr. Cut Pho Hon - Secretary of the Party Committee of Muong Ai commune: From August 17 until now, every 2 days we send a group of 25 to 30 people to participate in the search, hoping to find Mr. Tuat's body soon, if the time is longer, the search will be more difficult.
