Schmeichel withdraws from Denmark squad
Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has been forced to withdraw from Denmark's upcoming matches against Germany and Kazakhstan due to a thigh injury.

This is a big loss for the Danish team because Kasper Schmeichel is playing very well and is the team's great hope in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. The Danish Football Association (DBU) said that Schmeichel was injured during training and will be out for at least two weeks. A replacement player will be added in the coming days.
Denmark will face Germany in Copenhagen on June 6, marking the 25th anniversary of Denmark’s first European Championship win in 1992. Four days later, Denmark will travel to Kazakhstan to face the same team in the sixth match of Group E of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
After 5 matches, Denmark is ranked 3rd in Group E with 7 points, equal with Montenegro and 6 points behind the leading team Poland.
