A female candidate at Nghi Loc 2 High School was taken to the exam site by her father but unfortunately had a traffic accident, causing her to miss the Math exam in the 2024 National High School Graduation Exam.
Previously, while traveling to the Nghi Loc 2 High School exam site, candidate Nguyen Thi Dong (student of class 12A1, Nghi Loc 2 High School) and her father were involved in a serious traffic accident on N5 road, Nghi Loc district.
The accident injured Dong and his father and they had to be taken to Hospital 115 for emergency treatment. During the Math exam this afternoon, Dong was unable to get to the exam site.

Immediately after the incident, Nghi Loc District People's Committee sent officers and police forces to Hospital 115 to grasp the situation and handle the accident. Along with that, Nghi Loc District Examination Steering Committee and other organizations also went to the hospital to encourage and visit the health of candidate Dong and his father.
Regarding this unfortunate incident, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training said: This morning, Dong completed the Literature exam. If he wishes to continue taking the remaining exams to achieve high scores, as a basis for admission to universities, the Examination Steering Committee will continue to encourage him to try his best to come to school to take the exam. However, if his health is not guaranteed, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training will guide Nghi Loc 2 High School to complete the procedures to consider special graduation for him.

According to Mr. Hoan, this is an unfortunate incident that happened outside the exam venue, however, the Department of Education and Training will create the best conditions for candidates to continue taking the exam or be considered for special graduation.
After being transferred to the hospital, Nguyen Thi Dong’s parents and student received timely emergency care. Currently, Dong has soft tissue injuries that are not life-threatening. Her father also has injuries and a broken leg.
Nguyen Thi Dong is a talented student and is in the school's selective class.
