Will establish a Resident Journalists Association under the Vietnam Journalists Association of Nghe An province
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the information given at the meeting of members of resident newspapers and representative offices in the province organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association of Nghe An province on the afternoon of February 26.
Attending the event were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nghe An Department of Information and Communications, comrades in the Standing Committee of Nghe An Journalists Association and members of newspapers based in Nghe An province.

At the conference, Nghe An Journalists Association implemented the decisions of the Vietnam Journalists Association on the activities of members who are local resident reporters.
According to Decision 979/QD-HNBVN, from July 1, 2018, the Executive Board of the Inter-Association, the Secretariat of the Association of Press Agencies are responsible for completing the procedures to transfer activities to the Provincial and Municipal Journalists Associations for members of the Vietnam Journalists Association who are local resident reporters. Central press agencies with 03 or more members who are local resident reporters are eligible to establish a branch. Agencies that are not eligible to establish a branch must have their members who are local resident reporters transferred to the branch of the Provincial and Municipal Journalists Association Office. Associations at all levels under the Central Vietnam Journalists Association closely coordinate in supervising the activities of members who are local resident reporters in implementing the 2016 Press Law; the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association and 10 Articles regulating the professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists.
At the conference, members who are reporters from resident newspapers and representative offices in the province made a number of recommendations and proposals for the activities of members in the locality.
At the meeting, the members agreed to establish a Resident Journalists Association under the Vietnam Journalists Association of Nghe An province, including 17 journalist members.
