Will organize investment promotion conference in Nam Dan district

On the morning of January 31, at the regular meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and gave opinions on the plan to organize an investment promotion conference in Nam Dan district to implement Decision No. 17/QD-TTg dated January 4, 2019 of the Prime Minister approving the pilot project "Building Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to become a model new rural district in the direction of cultural development associated with tourism, period 2018-2025".

At the meeting, Secretary of Nam Dan District Party Committee Bui Dinh Long said that in order to prepare for this important conference, the district has proactively coordinated with the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to contact the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Office of New Rural Areas; at the same time, prepare related reports and documents such as: results of new rural construction in 2018 and some key tasks in 2019 - 2025; investment attraction plan for projects in 2019...

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy said that according to the plan, the Investment Promotion Conference in Nam Dan district will take place on February 22 in Nam Dan district, 1 day before the Spring Meeting with Investors of the province, with the main content being the implementation of Decision No. 17 of the Prime Minister in conjunction with focusing on calling for and attracting investment in Nam Dan district to implement this extremely important decision.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as the standing agency to coordinate with Nam Dan district and related sectors to actively connect with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as prepare related contents to organize the conference.

Concluding this content, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh agreed on the time, venue, content, method of implementation and assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant localities and sectors to carefully prepare the content to promote investment in the district in all fields, especially agriculture.

According to the update of the Organizing Committee of the Spring Ky Hoi 2019 Investor Meeting, among the 6 projects that will be granted investment approval decisions and certificates at the Conference, there is the Export Leather Footwear Factory project with an investment of 283 billion VND in Van Dien Industrial Park, Nam Dan.

The project of Parking Lot and Cultural Tourism Service Center with a total investment capital of up to 1,290 billion VND in Kim Lien commune is also on the list of projects that need to focus on attracting investment of the province. Currently, the investor is preparing documents and surveying the location for this project.

The pilot project "Building Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to become a model new rural district in the direction of developing culture associated with tourism, period 2018 - 2025" sets the general goal of comprehensively improving the quality of new rural construction in the area; preserving and promoting cultural values, revolutionary historical traditions, as a driving force to promote socio-economic development through tourism and service activities, making Nam Dan a model new rural district in "Developing culture associated with tourism", contributing to creating a nationwide spread.

The project also sets a target that by 2025, tourism economy associated with culture will become a spearhead economic sector, bringing the proportion of tourism and services to about 42 - 43% in the economic structure of the district; fully completing the targets and criteria and being recognized by the Prime Minister as a "Model new rural district in developing culture associated with tourism".
