French student volunteers teach foreign languages to Vinh City students
(Baonghean.vn) - Teaching, playing, chatting, introducing French culture... to students in Vinh City is the daily work of 5 French volunteers Matthieu, Luisa, Jade, Thomas and Alexandre for the past month.

Aot Matthieu, a student at École de Commerce (Nantes, France) had many interesting experiences working with students in Vinh City.
Matthieu said that all five members of the volunteer group are currently studying at French universities.

To participate in the volunteer program in Vietnam, the students contacted the person in charge of the ABCDE NGO to register and receive training through a basic French language class.
Each volunteer will be able to choose a locality such as Ha Long, Vinh, Ha Tinh... that ABCDE has a connection with to do volunteer work.

The main task of the French volunteers is to teach students from primary to high school who are studying French in Vinh City for 6 weeks. In addition, the students also organize games, plays, singing, and introduce French culture...
“Our goal is to help students access French more easily, especially to create a love for this subject,” Matthieu shared.

Loisel Jade, a student at École d'Ingénieur (Montpellier, France), said she really enjoyed volunteering in Vinh. Jade said: “This is the first time I have participated in a volunteer program to teach children abroad. The program is a wonderful journey for each member. I have learned many things and experienced many interesting things in your country. Especially, this is a good opportunity to learn about Vietnamese culture and people.”

Schenhluhn Luisa, a student at Sciences Po Lille (Lille, France), said that although she was only in Vietnam for 6 weeks, she would definitely come back more often in the future. In particular, she wants to come back to visit the students she taught this summer./.
