Nghe An Department of Education visits families of 2 female students involved in an accident in Nghi Loc district

Previously, at 1:55 p.m. on April 17, 2021, while walking home on N5 Road, two students Tran Thi Thao and Tran Thi Huyen (twin sisters, currently in grade 12 at Nghi Loc 5 High School) were suddenly hit by a gas truck that lost control, causing student Tran Thi Huyen to die on the spot. Huyen's younger sister, Tran Thi Thao, was seriously injured and is currently being treated at the hospital.

The situation of Huyen and her sister is very difficult because her mother is a farmer, her main income comes from 2 sao of rice fields and partly from her work as a bricklayer, catching crabs and snails to supplement her children's food. Her father also works as a factory worker in the South, with a low salary. Currently, the family is living in a level 4 house, built in 2005, which has deteriorated, and there is no valuable property in the house.

Coming to burn incense and visit the families of the two injured students, the director of the Department of Education and Training shared the family's loss. Besides, he also hoped that the family would try to overcome the pain to continue taking care of Thao who is being treated at the hospital.

Because student Tran Thi Thao is in grade 12 and preparing for the high school graduation exam in 2021, the director of the Department also requested the leaders of Nghi Loc 5 High School to create conditions and arrange teachers so that after she returns to school, they can tutor and review for Thao. The school also needs to regularly monitor Thao's health and, together with her family, promptly support and care for her while she is being treated at the hospital.

Faced with the difficult circumstances of the families of the two female victims, Nghi Loc 5 High School has launched an appeal to support the family with additional funds to help Tran Thi Thao with long-term treatment.
